| Purpose | We are a self help group of people who care or have cared for a relative, friend or neighbour suffering from any form of mental health illness. We meet monthly to offer each other mutual support, advice and understanding in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The Forum is open to past and present mental health Carers. We cater for Carers living in and around Derby City, Amber Valley, Erewash and South Derbyshire. To help carers feel less isolated and experience an improved quality of life and levels of well-being. To influence health professionals to ensure that services meet carers' needs. |
| Services | We provide support and signposting services to carers. We help carers to get a break from their caring role. We organise monthly meetings where carers from the city and south Derbyshire can share their experiences. We represent carers at meetings in partnership with health and social services. |

| Service Costs | Services are free, a light lunch and refreshments are provided. All travel costs are reimbursed to members. |
