Purpose We are a self help group of people who care or have cared for a relative, friend or neighbour suffering from any form of mental health illness.
We meet monthly to offer each other mutual support, advice and understanding in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
The Forum is open to past and present mental health Carers.

We cater for Carers living in and around Derby City, Amber Valley, Erewash and South Derbyshire.




To help carers feel less isolated and experience an improved quality of life and levels of well-being. To influence health professionals to ensure that services meet carers' needs.
Services We provide support and signposting services to carers. We help carers to get a break from their caring role. We organise monthly meetings where carers from the city and south Derbyshire can share their experiences. We represent carers at meetings in partnership with health and social services.

Opening Times We meet on the third Friday of each month, from 11.30 am - 2.00 pm
Eligibility Criteria Our services are for adult carers looking after someone with mental health problems.
Meeting Place We do not have an office base, but Joyce Johnson can be contacted on her mobile number. Our meetings are held at Oddfellows, Oddfellows Hall, 32 Charnwood Street, Derby DE1 2GU.
Service Costs Services are free, a light lunch and refreshments are provided. All travel costs are reimbursed to members.
