Description Amber Valley CVS is an umbrella organisation for voluntary groups in the Amber Valley area providing information and support when needed. The Volunteer Centre recruits volunteers for work with local voluntary groups and members of the public. A wide range of activities is offered together with support and ongoing contact and training. Amber Valley CVS exists to develop and be part of a vibrant voluntary sector. Other services offered include funding advice, help on governance issues, development and policy advice, DBS disclosure service.

Purpose

Amber Valley Centre for Voluntary Services is a registered charity that exists to develop and be part of a vibrant voluntary sector.

Our aims are to support groups and individuals involved in a wide range of activities and initiatives, which will help improve the quality of life for people in our area.

We offer a wide range of information to help improve the effectiveness of your group or organisation, plus updates on the latest news and developments within the local voluntary sector.

Services

Amber Valley CVS offers a range of services to respond to the needs of volunteers, voluntary organisations and community groups.

We provide information, advice and support on Funding and Governance issues, Development plans and Policies by individual visits or group events.



We work with families and the elderly to improve their quality of life and help them with day to day issues.



We work with young people to ensure that their issues and concerns are voiced.



We work in partnership with other voluntary and statutory agencies to ensure the development of the sector.



We liaise with various statutory bodies such as the local authority and health agencies and influence policy development at a local, regional and national level.



We provide paid work in the community through our Help at Home service.
