Purpose To act as an information and dissemination forum for the social, recreational, learning and other groups of Aston with regard to related activities within the village. To advise on and, where appropriate, co-ordinate activity arrangements of individual groups and organisations so as to avoid overlap.

To manage, produce and develop the quarterly 'ACORN' village magazine. The Acorn is in it's 15th year and 60 editions have been published and distributed to all properties in Aston on Trent. 32 groups/organisations/local businesses are featured.

To raise relevant issues with formal bodies such as Parish Councils and other statutory bodies.

The Community Group has coordinated activities such as The Royal Wedding Celebrations and Her Majesty The Queen's Golden Jubilee Celebrations.
