| Purpose | The club provides an opportunity for people of all ages from across Derbyshire to participate in a sport both a a social and competitive level. Crown green bowls demands a certain amount of skill in terms of coordination and judgement but can be played by anyone of any age or ability. It is a great sport for those with more limited mobility as it offers good general exercise as there is a degree of bending, stretching and physical movement involved. | Services | We organise an active social calender with social bowls days organised through the summer with in-house competitions which serve to provide a fun and active day with a strong social element. These days help to combat loneliness and provides a vibrant and stimulating environment for all those who attend. Baslow Bowls Club participate in crown green bowling at both a competitive and social level in a number of leagues including the Chesterfield and Matlock district. |
