|Purpose||We are a registered charity whose aim is to improve the lives of disabled people, their families and carers living in or visiting Derbyshire and the Peak District.|
|Services||At the heart of our charity is a 'one stop' website, www.accessiblederbyshire.org, which showcases the best in leisure and tourism in the area. The information this provides enables disabled people, their families, friends and carers to make informed choices about where to go and what to do to have an enjoyable time in Derbyshire.
We work with local organisations to raise awareness of their own accessiblity and how they can improve it for people with a range of access needs. We then fundraise with them to help them fund the solutions to the issues identified.
We fundraise to provide comunal equipment that increases accessibility in the area e.g. Electric profiling beds, shower chairs, recliners and mobile hoists for holiday properties or 'All Terrain' wheelchairs or Tramper vehicles for local attractions among may other items.
We work with local businesses to provide free and much needed breaks and treats for carers of all ages.
