|Purpose||Scouts help children and young adults to reach their full potential. Scouts develop skills including teamwork, time management, leadership, initiative, communication, self motivation, cultural awareness and commitment.

We provide opportunities for Young people age 14-17 to help as volunteer young Leaders in the scout association. Our young leaders work as part of a team to deliver challenging, adventurous, fun activities to beaver scouts, Cub scouts or scouts.
Young leaders receive full training, including first aid certificate. Our volunterrs also get access to all the opportunities that scouting has to offer, with the chance to join with local Explorer Scout Units, and complete their Duke of Edinburgh's Award, if they wish to do so.
The Scout association Young Leader training scheme consists of 11 modules and 4 mission.
