Purpose The Society is established for the public benefit for the following purposes in the area administered by the Whaley Bridge Town Council comprising Frenilee, Taxal, Horwich,Whaley, Hockerley, Bridgemont, Yeardsley and Furness Vale (i.e. the area of benefit)
(i)To promote high standards of planning and architecture in or affecting the area of benefit.
(ii)To stimulate public interest in and care for the beauty, history and character of this area and its surroundings.
(iii)To secure the preserv
Services Holds meetings.
Cooperates with local authorities, planning committees and all other statutory authoritie, voluntary organisations and charities.
Holds fund raising events.
Helps to promote civic pride in the local area and to generate public interest in and care for its beauty, history and character.

Opening Times At Executive Committee Meetings - held at least six times a year, At the Annual General Meeting for all members.
Eligibility Criteria The Whaley Bridge community and those interested in the well being of the area of benefit.
Meeting Place The Club Room, off Old Road, Whaley Bridge. The AGM takes place in the Mechanics Institute, Market Street, Whaley Bridge.
Service Costs Membership Fees are £6 per annum, Unwaged £3 per annum. £60 for Life Membership.
