Purpose The aim of the Group is to provide support in improve the lives and experiences of transgender people, family and friends. The objects of the group are to: Support and advise transgender people.
Provide information resources on transgender issues.
Advancement of education and understanding about issues relating to transsexuals, transgender and transvestite (Trans people).
The promotion of issues relating to mental health and well being of Trans persons.
Represent transgender iissues and concerns to local authorities, government departments and agencies and other voluntary or statutory bodies.
Interact with other organisations providing support and sign-posting services to transgender people in Derbyshire and further afield.
To provide support to empower trans persons, by increasing their confidence and well-being and reduce poverty and unemployment.
