| Services | Baby Basics was founded in 2009 at the King's Centre Church in Sheffield, and we are now operating this initiative in Chesterfield and surrounding areas. Baby Basics works with midwives and other professional bodies to provide new baby starter hampers for mums-to-be in need, including teenage mums, asylum seekers, refugees, women fleeing domestic abuse etc. Working together with other local churches and organisations, Baby Basics provides a Moses basket, ensuring a safe place for baby to sleep, packed full of new baby essentials such as toiletries, nappies, wipes, maternity pads as well as baby clothes, blankets and towels. For some mothers, these are the only items they have for their child. |
