Purpose We are a traditional karate club, training under Sensei Kuniaki Sakagami shihan, in Wado Ryu karate. The main aims of our club are to foster self confidence, discipline and fitness.
Services We train an established karate grading syllabus, with regular gradings held approximately every three months. We train from absolute beginners through to dan grade black belts. We provide access to area, national and international competitions. Students will be given the opportunity to be selected to represent their country at world level. We also train coaches and instructors under the auspices of the English Karate Federation.

Opening Times Every Friday evening throughout the year. The session is split into the following:- 18:30 p.m. - 19:45 p.m. ...full club training 19:45 p.m. - 20:30 p.m. ...advanced students only
Meeting Place Belper Leisure Centre (in the activity hall) Kilbourne Road Belper We also have a good working relationship with our sister club at Ripley who train Tuesday evenings & Thursday evenings at Ripley Leisure Centre.
Service Costs First 'taster' session is free, then £5:00 per session. A licence is required for gradings and competitions at a cost of £25 per year. Licences also cover personal insurance during training and are used to record your progress. This fee is payable to the National Governing body.
