| Purpose | Umbrella is a charity that supports disabled children, young people, and their families across Derby City and Derbyshire. Its purpose is to empower families through practical, emotional, and social support, while promoting inclusion and ensuring that every child has equal opportunities to take part in community life. Umbrella provides respite and short breaks through activity groups, youth clubs, and one-to-one sessions, as well as early intervention and family support to help families manage challenges and access services. Working closely with professionals, schools, and other organisations, Umbrella strives to improve outcomes and make sure every disabled child and their family can live a fulfilled, connected and supported life. |
